Walter Lantz Obituary Column


I found a Web site that contains the obituary for Walter Lantz. I thought this would be an interesting thing to share here.

Per the column, Walter Lantz, who emerged from the ranks of animation's early pioneers to build a multimillion-dollar cartoon empire and a respected worldwide reputation with the creation of an irascible woodpecker named Woody, died Tuesday morning in 1994. He was 94.
